Ham’s F10 medium was initially designed for the clonal growth of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells, mouse lung cells, and L cells. It is an ideal medium for promoting the growth of human diploid cells, white blood cells for chromosome studies, and primary tissue explants from rats, rabbits, and chickens.
Since it lacks proteins and growth factors, the addition of serum is recommended depending on the specific cell type and application.
The formulation includes L-Glutamine.
